Tainan Activities
What to Do in Tainan
Tainan is a small city but it is not short of activities. This, the oldest city of Taiwan, has plenty of parks, beaches and activity spots to keep you and your family engaged for an entire week. The wonderful beaches in and around the city deserves a special mentioning: One such beach located near downtown Tainan is the Anping Beach. It is also known as the Bridge-end Beach Park or the Chiao Tou Beach Park and is popular for windsurfing and swimming.
Compared to Tainan’s Golden Beach, Anping is smaller and a lot more intimate and is just minutes away from the tourist sites of Anping. Skimboarding is the most popular sporting activity on this beach. However, as with many other beaches in Tainan, you should avoid Anping during the typhoon season.
Here are some of the most popular activity spots in the city.
